You can help make a difference in the Davis and Yolo County by helping those in your community who are in need.
As the months grow colder, give the gift of warmth by donating new and gently-used coats to local families in crisis who are served by the Yolo Crisis Nursery. From November 20th until January 5th, drop off your donation at one of four local Davis breweries -- Dunloe Brewing, Sudwerk Brewing, Super Owl Brewing and Three Mile Brewing -- and while you're there enjoy a discounted pint.
Be sure to share a photo of you donating at your favorite local brewery on social media and you will automatically be entered to win a $25 gift certificate at that brewery! Just use the hashtag #DavisWinterWarmUp and tag your photos at that brewery location to win!
The Yolo Crisis Nursery is a place of hope and help for families in Yolo County, California. Day and night, 365 days a year, they a provide safe, temporary care for children up through age five. They also help parents manage emergencies, keep up with their jobs, learn a new job, get medical care, or just get a break. Their services are voluntary and free services wrap our families with loving care and help them become stable and strong.
A special and heartfelt thank you goes out to the participating local Davis breweries -- Dunloe Brewing, Sudwerk Brewing, Super Owl Brewing and Three Mile Brewing -- who are helping with the Davis Winter Warm Up. By opening their doors as drop-off locations for the coat drive, plus offering discounts when you donate, these local companies are proving yet again their commitment to the Davis community.
